Are You True to Yourself?

Are You True to Yourself?

Yesterday’s post was talking about branding and I wanted to talk more about the subject.

Why? Because I feel that sometimes, we are not true to ourselves, specially in network marketing world.

Why again? Because we want to sell our services, our products and we are forgetting something really important…Our name is attached to those products and services….so this is our reputation we are talking about.

Yes! Our reputation.

I don’t know about you, but for me, my reputation is really important. I wouldn’t like to be associated to a fraud, to a scam. Boy! I would not be able to sleep at night if that was the case!

My reputation and my integrity are extremely important for me. I raised my kids to be true to themselves…and I think I did a great job at it. They are not little liars and they have strong beliefs.

So how to ensure that we are true to ourselves?

  • Being true to ourself starts with knowing who we are and accepting ourself; knowing our strengths, passions, limitations and purpose in life and then living that way all the time. We come to know ourself only by living life. Finding what works for us. What defines us and makes us whole.
  • Being true to ourself is a personal choice for truth; making choices about how we want to live. We have the total power to live our life any way we want and to be faithful and factual to the truth about us.
  • Being true to ourself means we don’t worry about pleasing other people; living by someone else’s standards or rules. We don’t care what people think of us. We live as our natural self. Without compromise. No one can tell us how to be true to ourself except us.
  • Being true to ourself is this simple — either we live in integrity or we live out of integrity. That’s it. In or out. Moment to moment. No other choices. No other way to live other than being true to who we are. We choose one course of action. One way to be.

YES! That is being true to ourself! And it is vital to be true to ourself in every aspects of our life, being personal or professional.

How can I look at myself in the mirror if I’m not true to myself…and you, are you true to yourself?

It’s never too late to start!

Cheers!
Patricia
