Learn or Die!

Learn or Die!

I strongly believe that the day I will stop learning, I will die! Why do I say that? Because learning helps us staying young forever. Don’t you believe it?

If you don’t learn one thing a day, even the simplest thing, you have no reason to wake up the next day. Our mind craves for new things, for learning. Let’s feed it and be healthy and happy!

What does this have to do with business? Tons!

If you have read Rich Dad Poor Dad from Robert Kiyosaki, I’m sure you understand what I mean by learning or dying.

One of the lessons Robert (let me call him Robert, I feel close to him since I read many of his books) is teaching us is that you have to learn everyday. His rich dad taught him to learn about every aspects of a business. Not necessarily to become an expert in each but to have a great understanding of all parts of a business.

That is one of the 3 essentials in business (for the other 2, see my post from yesterday). If you don’t learn, you will fail badly and sadly.

So be enthousiastic about learning new stuff to reach new summits with your business and your life.

To combine business with pleasure, here are some quotes to pounder about learning. Enjoy!

“Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.”
― Mahatma Gandhi

“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.”
― Dr. Seuss, I Can Read With My Eyes Shut!

“Any fool can know. The point is to understand.”
― Albert Einstein

“The love of learning, the sequestered nooks,
And all the sweet serenity of books”
― Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

“The best thing for being sad,” replied Merlin, beginning to puff and blow, “is to learn something. That’s the only thing that never fails. You may grow old and trembling in your anatomies, you may lie awake at night listening to the disorder of your veins, you may miss your only love, you may see the world about you devastated by evil lunatics, or know your honour trampled in the sewers of baser minds. There is only one thing for it then — to learn. Learn why the world wags and what wags it. That is the only thing which the mind can never exhaust, never alienate, never be tortured by, never fear or distrust, and never dream of regretting. Learning is the only thing for you. Look what a lot of things there are to learn.”
― T.H. White, The Once and Future King

AND DEFINITELY MY FAVORITE:

“Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn.”
― Benjamin Franklin

This is how I approach my business. I like to understand every aspect of my business as much as I can so I can evolve and create a better business for me and my family. I love learning every day. As an example, today, I learned about Periscope and I intend to use it for my business at one point.

My tip for you today:

LEARN AND GROW!

Cheers!

Patricia
