Looking Back at 2015

Looking Back at 2015

2015 has been full of changes for me. In retrospect, I believe that the changes were necessary for me. Let me explain.

I just turned 50 yesterday and, want it or not, this is a landmark date for me. Honestly, I never thought that I would be so zen about it. When I was young, I was thinking that 50 was the end of the world, the end of my life.

But no! I feel it is the beginning of a great period for me. At the beginning of the year, I started working more seriously on my business and, frankly, I love it! I have so many ideas! I see the world of opportunities!

In August, I retired. I was so happy to be able to retire before 50. I’m one of the few ones who could actually do that! My mom had to wait until she was 65 and my dad 70! So I’m grateful for that!

My kids are also older, and believe it or not, this makes a difference. My daughter is 19 and really independent. She’s a great young woman. My son is now 16 and, autism can be though, but he’s growing at his pace. I hope that he will be able to find his place in the world.

This year, I also started to take my health more seriously. I have never been into sports but I now go to the gym 5 times a week and I eat better. Believe it or not, it makes a huge difference with my mindset! I didn’t think that the junk I used to eat (chips and chocolate were my favs!) were having an impact on my mood!

I have been lucky in life and I know that the next year will be great!

Cheers!

Patricia
